Lawn mower won't stay running.

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

I recently purchased a Craftsman 21'' lawnmower (Model #247.38821). This is the second time using it. The mower won't stay running. It turns-over, runs for about 15-30 seconds and then cuts off.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with new mower. First, make sure the tank is full of fresh fuel and the oil level in the engine reads full. If the gas is older than five weeks old, it should be replaced. If the fuel is fine, I recommend taking the mower to one of our drop off locations to have it serviced. The reason is, the mower has a two-year warranty and if there is a problem with the mower, we like to get it corrected as soon as possible.

Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations:

Sears Home Services

.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on the mower.

I'm sorry your experiencing issues with your new lawn mower. Your lawn mower is very new and is under warranty for two years. The store where you purchased the lawn mower will switch it out for a new one. I attached a link below from a previous post that had similar issues as yours. I also included your owners manual if you'd like to take a look at the warranty agreement. I hope this information is helpful!
