Kenmore 80 series washer out of balance

I have a Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care Heavy Duty 80 series washer model 110 92389200. It seems to be out of balance, the tub leans to the front right side. The machine is level. How do we fix this?

Thank you for your question.

I can understand you wondering why the tub is leaning forward.

It sounds like the counter weight centering spring has either broken or become disconnected from the back wall of the cabinet.

In order to check this you will need to remove the cabinet shell to check on the suspension on the washer.

If you feel comfortable with taking the cabinet off the machine it will be a relatively simple repair if that is the problem.

If you follow the image instructions below you should be able to get the cabinet off and then look at the back panel at the bottom to see if the spring is attached to the suspension. If the spring is not broken, then attempt to reattach the spring to the back panel.

If this is not the problem the please reply with your observations of the suspension parts of the washer and I will be happy to help your further.
