Our Kenmore Elite Oasis dryer model #11067087600 has stopped working and flashing code F40. I checked the internet & this website for possible answers as to what the F40 code means and what can be done about it. We tried the troubleshooting possibilities with no luck. I then called Sears customer service and explained the situation, and was told that the F40 code means the electronic control was damaged and needs to be replaced. Also, this is something that can be done by us and no repairman needs to come to the home. So the part was ordered and delivered after a few days. My husband replaced the control, but it did not work either, and it's still flashing code F40. My husband called Sears customer service again and after speaking with a few different people, including a service tech, he was transferred to a service parts dept rep, Katy, who was extremely rude stating no one told us to order any parts and a service tech needs to come to our house, which will cost about $120.00, just to check the dryer and then tell us what the problem is. My husband was speaking with a service tech before Katy, and he asked to be transferred back to a service tech but she refused to do so and told him to come onto this website to ask questions. We didn't understand what's the difference in speaking with an actual person then and there, vs getting on the internet and asking the question online and having to wait for someone to get back to us. This has become a frustrating situation and Katy is the first person we've spoken to who has refused to assist us. We hope someone else can. Thank you for your time.

I understand that you are getting the error code F40 on your Kenmore Elite Oasis dryer. I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below for you to view. I hope the link that I provided is helpful. Have a nice day.
