How old is my snowblower?

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

Just bought brand new Craftsman snowblower and want to sell the old one.
Can you advise how old our 247-88700, serial number 1H113140198001 is?
We think it's about 4 years old.

Lyle W. - thanks so much, that makes sense. We know it wasn't purchased as far back as 2003.

The serial number of that snow blower is shown in the image below. According to your serial number, that unit was manufactured on 8/11/2003. The snow blower normally is sold within 6 months to a year after it was manufactured. You may have purchased it later than 2004.

Thanks. Doesn't seem we've had it that long though. We bought brand new
and think it was '05 or '06.
