Chain saw fuel filter and fuel lines

I have a Craftsman model 380.350380 chain saw. It wouldn't start. When I read the manual, it suggested replacing the fuel filter. I have not done this in 10 years. I emptied the fuel tank and the fuel filter fell out. I can't find any fuel lines inside the tank, so I have no idea how to replace it. I talked to the Sears parts people and they recommended ordering the small filter line, the large filter line and a new filter. I'm not going to order the parts if I have no clue how to install them. The manual and the on-line advice just say remove the fuel filter and replace it-- no diagram. Do I need to find a small child who can reach into the fuel tank?
Recommended parts were 530069216, 530069247, 530095646 Are these the right parts? Do they come with instructions and diagrams?

I can understand how important it is to have all of your equipment working properly, especially when you need to use it. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I have found two links that will provide some information on the issue. One is a set of instructions for the chainsaw, and the other contains an image of the diagram. I hope these links will help.

Thank you for your question.

I will be able to assist you. It sounds like the fuel line has gotten brittle over time. I recommend replacing the large and small fuel line with the fuel filter. Here is a link to order the parts you need.

. The line can be tricky to replace but I have found a video that shows how to replace the line. Click

to watch the video. That video will show how to replace the line but does not show how it is routed. Click

to watch a video on how the line should be routed.

I hope this is helpful.
