The hose coupler for the incoming water on my portable dishwasher won't fit on my faucet. Help!

I have a Whirlpool portable dishwasher model #DP840DWGX1. My faucet has exterior threads and an exterior measurement of 3/4". I have looked several places for an adapter that fits a 3/4" faucet, but cannot find one. I'm not even sure how this works for the coupler end.

I spent over an hour with a Sears chat-person who tried to sell me about $80.00 worth of parts and would not confirm that the adapter would fit my faucet.

I am frustrated and my dishes are dirty! Please help! Thanks

Thank you for your question of the faucet adapter.

If you have 3/4 faucet threads on your faucet head is it the same thread as a garden hose thread?

From the picture it looks like the 7/8"-27 thread.

Sometimes this can be a challenge with trying to adapt some faucets.

If it is you should be able to go to you local home center and get the fitting to convert to the aerator on the dishwasher coupling.

You may need to piggy back a couple of fittings to get this to work.

It sounds like you need a 7/8"-27 thread external aerator to a 3/4"-11.5 external hose thread.

Another thing you could try if you want to do this is to remove the faucet head from the sink and take it and the dishwasher coupler to the Home center to see if you can find the fittings you need.

Please let me know what you have found and we can continue trying to solve this if that does not work.

Portable dishwashers come in handy when an inbuilt dishwasher is not available. I see you are having problems finding a coupler to fit the sink faucet. The expert will review your model and respond but I located and attached another expert post that has pretty good advice no matter the model. I attached the link below. Hope this helps.
