My Vizio 50" plasma TV will not turn on. What should I do to trouble shoot?

Vizio 50" plasma television. I turned off the TV with the remote. A few moments later I attempted to turn the TV back on using the remote. Nothing happened. The remote functions with all other components except the TV. I tried turning on the TV with the power button on the side of the TV. Nothing happens.

The TV is about 5 years old. This has never happened in the past.

Plasma TV's are difficult to troubleshoot because of all voltages that are produced on several different boards. There is about 5 electronic boards that could be the issue with your TV. I would recommend a technician to diagnose your plasma TV.

You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

Sears Home Services

.

Note

: Working on a TV can be difficult due to the

high voltage

circuits inside. Always remember to unplug any TV before trying to work on it.
