Landell , thanks for the help. Sorry about taking so long getting back to, started my 14 days stretch 12 hour shift. Replaced the thermal fuse and thermistor. Dryer works now, except seem to be on high heat at all temperature setting. Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Tommy,

From the information you are giving me, your user interface is bad. if you have a multimeter I recommend checking the individual buttons using the "checking functions of buttons" section of the information I sent you. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post. Thanks again for using Manage My Life. Landell

I apologize. I left out a portion on the keypad test step 3, there was no beep when the knob was pointing in the large space between the Manual and Automatic cycle groups.

Thanks, Landell. Here is what I have:

Keypad does work. Indications #1,2 & 3 nothing showed up. On the keypad test, step 3 there was no beep. On the additional tests, on step 1 I received a 6E not a 3. On step 2, I received a 09 and finally on step 3 of additional tests, I re received 08. I appreciate all the help so far and hope that you can help some more.

Hi Tommy,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life. I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

This dryer has a test routine you can run that will help in the diagnosis of any problems the control detects. If the control detects a problem it will identify it with an error code. I am including this information in a set of images below.

Please perform the diagnostic tests detailed here and report back with your findings. Be sure to record any failures and when they occur along with any error codes that are displayed. The remaining checks will require the use of an ohm/volt meter and you will have to perform ohm checks and/or live voltage checks. If you have a meter and are confident in your ability to safely perform these checks, reply to this post and I will be happy to assist you in any way I can. I am looking forward to assisting you again in the near future.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:
