I have a Kenmore chest freezer 255-19702010 not working

I have a Kenmore chest freezer 255-19702010 located on my garage, one day it was raining heavily and out of a sudden I realized the freezer is not working and seems the two outlets disconnected, I pressed the reset on the out let and they both worked after that, I plugged back the freezer but still its not working I feel the compressor is hot but its not getting cold , one see also the light was blinking for a long time.. before it stop it wasn't a steady green light ? Any idea what that would be .. ?

I know that it can be very frustrating to have your appliances not working properly. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I have found a link that will provide some information on the issue. It also includes some troubleshooting as well. I would suggest that you unplug the freezer and leave it off for a few minutes then plug it back in. If this works you will be good to go, if not then you will most likely need to schedule service. I hope this helps.

It sounds like something shorted in the freezer and tripped the GFI circuit in the wall outlet. Whatever shorted might have burned a wire in two causing the compressor to not start running.

I recommend you go to

Home Services

and get a Sears technician to repair the refrigerator.
