Engine starts but won't continue running

Craftsman platinum, EZ walk. Followed trouble shooting guidelines. Good fuel, spark and air. Engine will start (after some difficulty) run for about 10-30 seconds, never reaches and maintains high rpm.

In most cases this problem is due to an issue with the fuel or carburetor. Since you mentioned the fuel is fresh I tend to think the problem will be more related to the carburetor.

Pick up a can of spray carb/choke cleaner from an auto parts store. Then watch

to see how to clean the carburetor out. Also, if you've not changed the spark plug recently, I do recommend you do that.
