Error code F 02 - Kenmore Elite He3t washer

Machine was running a heavy duty load of towels. Paused & opened machine, water still in drum. tried to use the drain & spin to remove water from towels & drum - continued to get error code.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F02" fault code indicates the washer is taking too long to drain water. You washer has drain pump filter that is likely restricted. I added an image below with instructions how to access the drain pump filter.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord and drain the water from the tub before removing the drain pump filter.

Residual water will pour out once the drain pump filter cap is removed so be prepared.
