Homelink remote not working with new AssureLink opener 1393043

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

i just purchase and had Sears install the new Craftsman DC Belt Drive Garage Door Opener with Diehard Battery Backup and AssureLink Connectivity Model 3043 Sears Item# 00903043000

I have followed BMW instructions, watch YouTube videos on programming the cars Homelink control. After clearing the old codes. I preceed to second step to sync frequency but i never get the rapid flashing light indicating the remote and homelink remote have paired frequencies. Thus i can't move to the third step to the "learn" mode of the opener.

I specifically made sure this unit supported Homelink, before purchasing. My car is 2010 3 series. Homelink remote in car worked with previous garage opener. New remote openers work. Assurelink app works. Keypad works.

How can i this new opener to work with my car's homelink remote?

I just spent two hours trying to program two of my cars with Homelink for the new garage opener, calling Sears and searching the web with no luck until now. Thank you to Sam A for his response. I'm on the phone with Homelink now and they are going to send me the repeater for $7. If the solution is in the manual, they need to make it more visible. I'm sure many others are having the same issues. I was ready to uninstall it and take it back.

I know why your HomeLink will not work on your car. The Craftsman garage door opener you purchased has upgraded their security system to a +2.0 system. That means the HomeLink in your car will not work. Call HomeLink at: 1-800-355-3515. I actually bought the repeater which costs $63 including shipping and tax. I just was on Liftmasters Facebook page and read they are giving them out for free. Just called HomeLink where I bought the repeater from and they said I was not suppose to be charged and they will be crediting back my account. They will charge you $7 for shipping though but will give you the repeater for free. Hope this helps.

Thanks to Sam, I contacted HomeLink, they sent me the repeater kit (just had to pay shipping charges) which solved the problem. I can now use the cars opener. It's a little slower than before, but it WORKS!

The basic is problem is that the BMW opener does not support the new frequency of this new opener. The repeater just received the on the same frequency as the car and retransmits on the frequency of the opener.

Thank you for your question on the Home link not working for your car.

I am sorry that your Home link is not working with the new door opener

This may be one of those cases where you will need a fix kit repeater from home link to get your car Home link to work.

Please call the Home link number to so they can help you.

1-800-355-3515 choose option 4

I hope they will be able to help you.

Sam A.
