Craftsman mower wont move in forward or reverse

I have a craftsman 30 inch riding mower model number 91728001. The drive will not engage completely when I put it in forward or reverse.It catches for a scond then quits moving. I tried to adjust the clutch like the manual says, but the adjustment nut is tight.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. I have posted the instructions for adjusting the drive below. Click on the image to view the instructions. If you have adjusted the drive just like this I recommend having a service technician come out and service the mower. It looks like the mower is a new model. The repair should be covered by the two year warranty. Here is a link for the website:
