5 minute into cycle the wash cycle stops drains and flashs F25 error code, Now i found the manuel it says drive tachometer or somthng Is it MCU, MOTOR...? HELP PLEASE

WHEN I BOUGHT IT THE GUY HAD MOVED IT FROM HIS BASEMENT AND HAD IT SIDEWAYS, I REATTACHED 2 OF THE SHOCKS ON BOTTOM AND ONE MAJOR SPRING ON TOP, THAT FIXED MOST OF THE ISSUES. THEN I GOT THE F25 ERROR CODE 3-5 MINUTES INTO CYCLE AND IT AUTO SHUTS DOWN WTF HELP ME

(I am including 3 pic's)

1st Pic- is of back of washer opened up

2nd Pic is of the motor- It looks brand new but there is black residue on it from belt...was all around that belt part on motor but i wiped with finger.

3rd Pic is of the MCU-(motor control unit) It got banged up and pieces of case broke ut the inside looks fine on the mother board. Like i said everything else works but the spin/agitation kenmore elite smartwash quietpak 4 HE3t Model # 110.49972.600

Hi Justin,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

Yes, the F/25 is a DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR. If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the machine shuts down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 minutes. You will need to ohm the motor and tachometer.

The diagnosis of this issue will require the use of an ohm/volt meter and you will have to perform ohm checks and/or live voltage checks. If you have an ohm/volt meter and are confident in your technical abilities, please reply below and I will be happy to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

Sears Home Services

.

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases;

.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
