What would cause my riding lawn mower not to start?

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

I have a craftsman riding lawn mower model 917.270810. When I turn the key nothing happens, there is no spark and it does not roll over. I have replaced the starter, the key switch, the senser undernieth the seat, the starter relay, both the 30 amp fuse and battery are fine. What else can I look for?

I have attached a diagram to help you determine the problem with your tractor. Lock down the parking brake and make sure the blades are off. Then turn the key to the "start" position and check for power everywhere a green arrow points to. You should have close to whatever voltage is on the battery at each of those points.

Let me know what you find and we can proceed from there.
