AssureLink Garage Door opener model # 139.3043

by James Tipple Last activity date:

Just installed the Opener but the wired wall mounted controller is not working properly. The display is reading "Press the push bar to activiate control, see user manuel" The manual says to press the button up to 3 times to activate. I have pressed the button I have held the button in I have pressed multiple buttons all at once I can't seem to get it to work and display the option menu. I have checked all the wires even changed the wires to see if it was wired backwards. Any sugestions?

Recieved the new wall unit today, connected the wires and everything worked perfectly. So happy it was that simple and Sears was so easy to deal with to get the new part. I absolutly love this garage door opener.

Thank you for the update and I have found out that the new wall controls linear and do not care which way the wires are installed like the old style did.

Wires have been checked and rechecked and yes the wall unit lights up with the message I typed above. It lights up no matter what configueration the wires are installed Red to red, white to white or red to white, white to red. I will call the number on the blue paper as you suggested. Thank you for your help.

Follow up on the wall control. Does the wall control light up when you have the wires from the logic board connected? If it does not then it could be the wall control or the wall control side of the logic board.
The wall control does not respond the first time you push it because it is learning to the logic board but it should work after that.

Thank you for your question on the wall control for the garage door opener.

From your question detail on what you have already tried it sounds like you have received a bad wall control.

As long as you have the white wire with the red tracer on the red terminal and the white on the white terminal it should be working.

Have you checked the wires at the motor unit and checked the wires from the motor unit to the wall control for continuity.

If you still have the Blue sheet of paper that was in the box when you opened it. There will be a telephone number to call and they will provide you with a new wall control.

If you do not have that piece of paper you can call 1-800-528-9131.

I hope this will help.
