LG washer/dryer combo te error

Hello my washer/dryer WM3431HS/02 showed a te code. I opened the top and found that the thermistor appeared to be functioning, plugged in and no tears in the wire. The noise filter was melted and brown. I replaced the noise filter and now the control panel lights up when i turn it on but all lights are on when I spin the dial. It does not turn off when I push the off button, I need to unplug it. Do I need a new circuit board? Or did the overheating of the noise filter damage the plugs that lead to the circuit board? Other ideas. Thanks!

The control board is a possible cause of the problems you're having but first I'd suggest you try and run a diagnostic test cycle. See the image below for help with this.

If the fails to enter the test then the control will need to be replaced. If it does enter the test then running the test may bring up the cause of the problem.

You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.

Thanks for the information. I was able to enter and run the test. When I first started I received code 1F:68 U03. It ran through all the cycles within range except on cycle 9 the dryer did not come on, the machine was spinning slowly and showed 18; on cycle 11 the dryer came on, there was no heat. The last cycle everything went off except the door lock and the light on drain and spin on the spin dial.

If you can enter and run the test. then the control is likely okay. I'm wondering if you select the Dry only cycle. In step 10 did the drain pump come ? Does the problem seem to be with the washer or dryer or both?

The drain pump comes on and it sounds like the dryer is working. The machine doesn't feel hot though. I'm wondering if it is an electrical problem because when I turn the machine on all the lights on the circuit board stay on even when I spin the dial.

The wires coming out of the noise filter look fine, but the filter was melted, maybe the heat damaged the wires?

Thanks for your help!

From the problem I'd suspect the control but you're right about the wires. At this point I'd suggest a technician check and repair this problem. The service call and labor will cost approximately $129 dollars but it would be worth every penny. The control and wire harness can be difficult to replace and not the usual do-it-yourself project.
