CONTROL SETTINGS ON DISPLAY OF KENMORE ELITE REFRIGERATOR

I OWN A KENMORE ELITE BOTTOM FREEZER FRIDGE,ICE MAKER DOES NOT WORK BECAUSE CONTROL SETTINGS WILL NOT FILL UP ICE TRAY WITH WATER. MANUAL NOT USEFUL AT ALL

ICEMAKER STILL DOES NOT WORK...I DID TURN IT ON AND OFF AS YOU SAID,NO WATER FILLS THE TRAY ,THE IMAGE YOU SENT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE MINE.

I'm sorry that you are having problems with the ice maker. In this model, the ice maker can stop working for a few reasons. Some are listed below:

The icemaker itself can fail

The water valve may not open

The fill tube can freeze up

Freezer temperature not cold enough (should be 0-5 degrees)

First begin by turning the ice maker off for about a minute, then turn it back on. You should hear water filling the mold within 3 minutes.

If this does not work, I provided an image below that describes the function of the ice maker. This image also has the procedure for manually cycling the ice maker. Press and hold the cube size button (called the fill key on the image below) for 3 deliberate seconds. If it does not cycle, then the ice maker assembly (part 5989JA0002Q) will need to be replaced. If the ice maker cycles but does not fill, then the water valve (part 5221JB1004N) will need to be replaced. You can order the part from this link

KENMORE ELITE BOTTOM FREEZER ELITE MODEL #795.78549.806 AND YES THIS IS THE CORRECT MODEL NUMBER,NO WATER COMES DOWN TO FILL THE TRAY OF THE ICEMAKER ,I HAVE REPLACED THE FILTER ..THE FRIDGE WAS PURCHASED 1/2009 THE MANUAL DOES NOT HELP,IT TELLS YOU THAT THERE A BUTTON FOR ICE CUBE SIZE BUT DOES NOT TELL YOU WHERE IT IS,COULD IT BE IN THE DISPLAY CONTROLS?
