Freezer not working in cold weather

I have a kenmore refrigerator model number 363.9502715 in the un-heated garage. During the winter the garage temp will range in the mid 20s to mid 40s, the freezer will not go below 30--35 degrees. This only happens in the winter...Is this normal? said that Sears has a heater kit..could you explain what that is? and will that take care of the problem? If so how do i get one.
Thank You
Manuel Gomez

Even though it may be freezing outside it is still important that our freezer work properly for our food that needs to be frozen. While you are waiting for an expert to respond, I have attached some helpful links below that may provide information to assist you with your question. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the heater kit. Unfortunately, there is no garage heater kit for this model. In cold weather, the problem you're experiencing will be normal. To keep it working, during cold weather, the unit will need to either be moved to a warmer location or some heat will need to be added to the area, where it's located. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
