I am sorry you are having a problem with the air compressor. The pressure switch has a pressure release valve that bleeds pressure from the pump so it starts easier. If air continues to leak out of the pressure relief, when it is turned off the problem is the check valve in the tank. The check valve is a one-way valve that allows air into the tank but not out. If the check valve is defective, air will continue to leak out of the pressure relief valve. You can try to clean the check valve before replacing it. I have posted the instructions for cleaning the valve in the image below. Click on the image to enlarge it. If cleaning the check valve does not cure the problem, you will need to replace it.
