Last week my washer started stopping with the sign SUD. I am very careful not to over soap, and only use the HE soap. It would eventually correct itself. Now however, it is stopping with F21. and the clothes are not being spun. there is water in the bottom of Washer.

Thanks Jon for the clear directions & even pictures to boot! Once I cleared the filter, no errors, no issues. Great work.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I am sorry you are having a problem with your washer. Without the full model number it's difficult to provide exact information. I do have some information that may assist you. The error code F21 and Sud usually indicate a draining problem. Taking too long to drain or not draining at all.

LONG DRAIN

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes the water valves turn off. NOTES:

After four minutes the Sud error will be displayed, then four minutes later the F21 error code will be displayed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear the display

Possible Causes: Procedure

Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.

Unplug washer or disconnect power.

Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.

Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.

Plug in washer or reconnect power.

If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7.

Unplug washer or disconnect power.

Replace the pump.

To access the pump, remove the 3 screws at bottom of the toe panel. Note: Disconnect power or unplug the washer before removing the toe panel. I added some images showing the toe panel and screws (key#21). The second image shows the filter (key#14). You will need to get all the water out of the tub before removing the pump filter. If you have a wet/dry vacuum connect it to the end of the drain hose and draw the water out. Have some towel handy when you remove the filter.
