How many gallons of water does my washer hold?

My 10+ year old Kenmore Elite top load washer (model 11022942100) agitator is slipping when washing a full load. The repair part may not be expensive but I estimate it will be at least $100 for a service call and labor to repair. I am not sure if it is a repair I can do. I am considering purchasing a new top load washer with an agitator. I need some information about my current washer to compare to a replacement. I think the capacity of my washer is 3.2 cubic feet. Is that correct? Can you tell me how many gallons of water it uses for a large load? I appreciate your help.

The capacity of your washer is 3.2 cubic feet and it holds 23 gallons of water. I'm not sure what you mean by the agitator is "slipping"? If you can explain in more detail I can further assist you with this repair. If you're choosing not to repair it, then I hope the provided information assists you in your new purchase.
