Thank you for your question. I know it's frustrating when the fridge section stops working. The information you have received from Jackie is very good. The following is a list of some additional checks to make.
Check the fresh food door, make sure it’s sealing.
Make sure the freezer and fresh food controls are not set at the warm position.
Verify that fresh food items are not completely blocking the air discharge ports.
Make sure the defrost control system is working.
Make sure the evaporator and condenser fan motors are working.
Using your finger, push the Mylar flap in the air return cover. It should open smoothly with no binding or snapping over effect.
Remove the light shield and Styrofoam air deflector. Verify the auto damper rod is in the cup and that the door is in its pivot points. See figure 1 & 2.
Verify that the auto damper door is not fully closed. If it is, the auto damper is defective and should be replaced.
