SEARS SR2000 SCHOLAR

I HAVE THE SAME MODEL, LIKE YOU SAY, EVERYTHING WORKS.

JUST SEEMS THAT THE HAMMER DOESN'T HIT HARD ENOUGH

TO TRANSFER INK FROM THE RIBBON. SEEMS LIKE THERE

SHOULD BE AN ADJUSTMENT, JUST WANT TO FIX IT SO I CAN

SELL IT ON EBAY AS WORKING, AND NOT JUST FOR PARTS.

I thought I would sell it on eBay, but then it wouldn't pay to invest any money.
Thanks, I appreciate your help.

Thank you for the model number Reuben, I was able to find the model number in or system but there was no image for me to look at. I do not have any parts listed either.

This model is the same as a Royal Adler Alpha 600.

You may be able to find some service information on line but I was not able too.

There are still a few typewriter repair shops in the country that may have and answer for you.

But I could not find enough information to help you.

I hope this is enough info, it's too nice a typewriter to leave in the attic or throw away just because of (1) small adjustment..

SEARS SR 2000 Model # 161. 53031550
THE ELECTRONIC SCHOLAR

Thanks,
Reuben Phillips

Thank you for your question on the striking pressure of the keys on the ribbon.

Without the model number from the typewriter I can only give you a couple things to look for.

Most typewriters have a touch and striking control to change the impact for the keys. It will be a dial or a slide lever located somewhere on the machine.

Please reply with the model number off the typewriter.

It will have a three digit number and then a dot and then the rest of the model number.
