That model 796.2927 does have a soak feature that can be used before the cycle starts. It is decribed on page 21 of the manual that I posted below this response. That information may help you with the soak function on that washer. If you need more help, let us know.

I forgot to add that the model number is 796.2927, if that makes a difference. Thanks again.

It seems like a flaw in the design. It would make more sense to me that you could soak with the addition of detergent and bleach. I know that is not your design, and I appreciate the answer.

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

There is really no good way to soak clothing in this particular washer. There is not a particular cycle that includes an extended soak. If you wish to soak clothes overnight for example then you will have to unplug the machine once it fills with water. When you plug the machine back in it will drain and you will have to add soap, reprogram it to run a cycle and then start it.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.

I understand the importance of the soak cycle. I did some research on managemylife.com and found a question similar to yours. I am adding a link below to help you with your question while you wait for your expert response. I would suggest adding your complete model number so your expert can better answer your question. It is normally 10 digits long.
