So from what I have read so far, is that, not only are the Kenmore Models 19502 and 19702 not available any longer but they also have a compressor problem. I purchased my Kenmore model 19702 on 03/05/2011. While I was on vacation from Nov 7th to Nov 17th in Phoenix, Az. my compressor went out on my freezer. I had approximately $500.00 worth of food in it. A turkey, a ham, a couple of steaks, about 15 lbs. individually wrapped pkgs of ground beef, 6 chicken breasts, a box of popsicles not opened, 8 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, stewed tomatoes that I canned myself, frozen garlic bread, it filled up 3 lawn and garden garbage bags that I had to throw away. I still had 1/2 of a freezer I could have put things in. Getting ready for Thanksgiving and my Turkey was warm in the freezer, was going to put 3 pies in the freezer. So not only are they not energy efficient but the compressors break easily on them also. I think Kenmore should reimburse us for our losses. I will be calling Kenmore on 11/24/12 and voicing my complaint. Even if I had bought the warranty it would not have covered the compressor. Can't do anything with it now except throw it away because after being gone 10 days you can not get the rotten food smell out of it.
