Hi Misty,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

There is no way to adjust or set the water level in this washer. Any attempt to do so would most likely result in a flood.

Here are the water levels for the HE3 washers:

2001-2005 models (no Start/Stop knob) = 2.5 to 3.5 inches (+/- 0.5 inch) measured at the back of the tub.

2006-Present (with a Start/Stop knob) = 1.25 to 4.75 inches (+/- 0.5 inch) measured at the back of the tub .

2006 - Present:

HEAVY DUTY, WHITEST WHITES, AND NORMAL/CASUAL = 1.25 inches.

EXPRESS WASH, OR QUICK WASH = 2 inches.

ACTIVE WARE = 4 inches.

BULKY, HAND WASH, WOOL, SILK AND = 4.75 inches.

These are all approximate and may vary from machine to machine.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this post.
