Wiring the 4317943 ice maker

4317943 harnesses all have 4 wire plugs. Old ice maker had a 2 wire harness that connected 1 wire in the front of the maker and another wire that joined w/the other harness into the back of the motor unit (?) as per the new 4 wire setup. Is there an adapter that I should use or can I splice these somehow to get the new unit working?

Thank you for your question. Installing a replacement icemaker can be a little tricky sometimes. Unfortunately, without the model number, I will not be able to provide specific information. Normally, the extra harnesses that come with this icemaker will help adapt it to most models. Unfortunately, there is no other adapter. For more assistance, reply to this thread and please include the complete model and serial number and I will be glad to assist you further. If you can send a picture of the original wire harness it would be very helpful.
