Electric Dryer Not Working

I have an Admiral Electric Dryer Model # LNC7741A71, Rev. 10 , Serial Number 10885384QD. I think I overloaded with too many clothes. I turned it on and when I returned the dryer was no longer running. I let it cool for several hours but could not restart in. I checked the motor for burnt windings and found OK. Checked motor and it turns freely. There are several non re-settable relays and a motor protect devuce listed on the wiring diagram. I do not have a troubleshooting guide. What is most likely failed part. Power to dryer has been checked ans is OK.

Whatever the reason, once the dryer stops working a fix is in order. I did locate a similar question and a video that may help while you wait for the expert to review this model and respond. I attached the links below. I hope something here helps.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details I suspect a faulty thermal fuse. The thermal fuse (key#5) is located on the upper right side of the heating element housing as shown in the image below. In order to access the thermal fuse and heating element will require hinging the top open. There will be a couple of spring clips to press inwards to release the top located between the front bottom of the top and the front panel. Use a putty knife to slip in-between to press on the clip and raise the top.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before raising the top.

thermal fuse #LA-1053 for Admiral dryer model LNC7741A71

can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
