Craftsman 919.167600 26-Gallon Compressor - Cooling Fan Replacement

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

Hi, all...

I have a Craftsman 919.167600 26-gallon compressor and I need to replace the cooling fan (all the fins broke off).

Gently attempting to pry the fan off reveals that the whole shaft comes with it if I continue. Is there a way to get the fan off without disturbing the remainder of the shaft? I mean, you can buy just the fan for $2-$3 or so, so I imagine it can be done somehow. If there's a "right way," I'd like to do it the right way.

Thanks for considering my question.

Replacing the fan on the Craftsman air compressor is not that difficult with help from managemylife.com. A similar question was asked and I am providing the link to that answer. Hope this helps. An expert will be along with additional information.
