I just bought a Craftsman string trimmer from Sears and can not run it for more than a few minutes before the weeds wrap around the string head jamming it and the shaft is warm. I have an old echo weedeater and it occasionally jams, as all do to some extent, but it still works.

According to your description, the weadeater is working properly. When cutting the weeds, I recommend that you start at the edge of the area and work back and forth in a sweeping motion. Work from the edge of the area to the middle. Do not try to cut down too many weeds at one time. This may help you prevent the weeds from tangling around the head of the weadeater.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.
