Placing fridge on carpet is this safe?

Placing a fridge in a room with only carpet so wanted to know if I need something in between or if its safe to place on carpet?

I do not recommend that you place the refrigerator on carpet. The refrigerator is designed to be placed on tile, concrete or a similar hard surface. The air circulation under the refrigerator will normally be inhibited when the unit is placed on carpet. You can consider pulling up the carpet in that location. You could also place the refrigerator on top of a piece of plywood (3/4") that is cut slightly larger than the base of the unit.
