How to hook drain hose to dehumidifier

I have a Kenmore dehumidifier model #580.54701400 and I want to hook up a drain hose. I looked up the manual online, but it is not clear. I opened the drain hole cover (small plastic circle attached by four little plastic tabs)l but there is nothing behind it. The instructions say ""Connect a garden hose to the threaded drain hose connector", but I don't see anything that looks like that. Can you tell me where to find it?

I know that there are some parts on a dehumidifier that are more confusing than others. The drain hose connector is a separate part from the rest of the unit (Key # 22-A in the image below). This should have come with the dehumidifier, but if it did not then you will need to order a new one. The part number you will need is 5214A20027A. Just click on this link to order it:

. Once you have the new connector, then you can install the drain line. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
