Kenmore Elite HE3t Washer, troubleshooting.

Have a Kenmore Elite HE3t washer, several years old. Just bought it used. Machine stopped in mid wash cycle. Received flashing errors codes "F" and "H" alternating first one then the other. No manual.

What do these codes mean?

The FH error code indicates that the Central Control Unit does not detect water entering the machine or that the water level pressure switch trip has not been detected.

If no water is entering machine follow these troubleshooting steps:

Check the water supply cut-off faucets behind the washer to make sure that they are fully open.

Check the drain hose for a siphoning problem.

Shut off the water supply faucets for the washer. Remove the inlet hoses from the connections on the back of the washer. Check the inlet water screens for clogs. Place the ends of the inlet fill hoses into a bucket and briefly turn on the cut-off faucets to check for proper water pressure and flow from the inlet water hoses. If you have inadequate water pressure or flow, I recommend having a plumber fix your water supply to the washer.

If the washer is filling with water you could have a problem with the water level pressure switch, a siphon problem or a Central Control Unit problem. I would need more details regarding the water level in the washer and the full model number of your HE3t washer to accurately predict the failure. I recommend that you resubmit your question with this additional information. We will be glad to help you further with this problem.
