Air conditioner

Hello I have a 12.0amps 1495 watts 115 V 60 hz AC i need an extension i was told to get a 20 amp extension but i think that is not necessary please tell me which extension can i purchased thank you?

Thank you for your question. The manufacture does not recommend using an extension cord as it can become a hazard. Window air conditioners should be plugged directly into the outlet without using a power strip or extension cord and the window air conditioner should be the only item plugged into that circuit.

If the outlet is not close to the window, it is recommended to have an electricion move the outlet or add an outlet.
