How to replace the HealthRider¨ SOFTSTRIDER EXª treadmill walking belt

I have a HealthRider¨ SOFTSTRIDER EXª treadmill), ¥ The MODEL NUMBER OF THE PRODUCT (831.297871). My treadmill has a padded walking belt, but I understand the padded ones have been discontinued. I therefore was referred by the SEARS representative and ordered another belt, but it didn't come with directions. Also, my manual says not to lubricate the belt, but my replacement belt came with lubricant. I just want to make sure that I don't mess anything up by using it. Thanks for any help you can give and a video link to show how to replace it would be great, if available.

I love treadmills. They're great for staying in shape and I'm happy you used yours enough to warrant replacing the belt. They may have not wanted you to use a lubricant with the padded belt but with a non padded belt it may be fine. Your expert will likely address this for you. I've located 2 videos but I was not able to find videos with your model number. Review these and I hope they help you. Have a nice day and keep on truckin'

Thank you for your question on the replacement walking belt for the SOFTRIDER EX treadmill model 831.297871.

The vendor who made the original walking belt no longer provides these as a replacement part.

You should have received part number 262219 replacement belt with lubricant that needs to be put on the belt when you change it out.

I am sorry but I do not have a video that will show you how to change the walking belt on this treadmill. There are a number of videos on Google that you could look at but they may be different models from this one.

This video will give you the general process for replacing the walking belt.

This is a very labor intensive job on this model and unless you have a fair amount of mechanical ability I would suggest you have a technician for this repair job.

I hope the video will help but if not please reply if you will need more information.
