Kenmore Ultra Wash, beeps, won't start

by Manage My Life Last activity date:
August 23rd, 2012

When a wash cycle is selected, any wash cycle and then the start button is pushed is will blink a few times and beep for maybe 5-10 seconds before the lights go out and the beeping stops and the wash definitely doesn't start.

Model# 66513273K112

It's pretty new, maybe 6 months old.

Any ideas? I can't seem to run the test mode that I see some of the models have.

The new appliances do talk to us when there is a problem, but the language barrier makes it difficult without a tech sheet. I understand how you feel.

The symptoms seem to indicate the unit may be in demo mode. The diagnostic will need to be run to clear the demo mode. Press the

Cancel key

. If the Cancel key LED does not respond to multiple Cancel key presses, the control is likely in demo mode. Use the image below to help start the diagnostic cycle. Note any error codes that display. This should clear the demo mode. Please reply with the results or if more help is needed. Since the washer is still under warranty, if this is not the demo mode, I would schedule a technician to diagnose and make repairs. You can schedule a Sears technician here;

Perhaps, that concern is similar. It's certainly not an issue of interrupted cycles as I've tried letting it continue. How can I find out if I have a faulty latch?

The dishwasher is one of the most used appliances in the home and I am sorry for the inconvenience. I did some research and I was able to find a link that will provide you with some good information. I hope this helps with your dishwasher troubles while you wait for your expert response.
