Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the microwave. The only way to repair the touch pad is to replace it. Because of the extremely high voltage a microwave generates and can store even when unplugged, we do not give repair information on them. We strongly recommend having a service technician replace the control of the microwave. I hope you understand we do not want a customer getting serious injured or worse. We will gladly give repair advice on all other appliances. You can have the microwave repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website to set up service:

Sears Home Services

. I looked up the cost of the new touch pad. The cost of it is roughly $240.00 plus the labor and tax. Depending on the condition of the unit, you may consider purchasing a new one. You can click

to see what models we offer.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as , can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service. It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future. Below is a link to setup service.
