My Kenmore HE Elite Smartwash Quiet Pak9 has water in drum overnight.
Some mornings, not everyday my wife finds water standing in the drum of her Kenmore HE Elite Smartwash Quiet Pak9. The model # is 110.45991 400. She uses the drain/spin button to drain it and it washes with no problems. Would the water inlet valve cause this problem? She uses the washer almost daily so the problem seems to be a slow process thats happening at night.

When it comes to our Washers not working properly it can be really concerning. While you are waiting on a response from the experts, I suggest you set service with a sears technician. I have attached the link below. Have a nice day!

I suspect the water is leaking past the water valve. You can prove this by turning the spigots for hot and cold off overnight. The problem seems to be consistent enough so that if you turn the spigots off and there is no water then replacing the water valve will likely help resolve the problem. I hope this helps. Replacing the water valves can be a great do-it-yourself project that can save money. Let me know if the valves are the problem and I'll provide some do-it-yourself tips.
