Kenmore Pro all refrigerator leaks water on floor

by CHRIS CALERO Last activity date:

My Kenmore Pro all refrigerator is leaking water onto the floor and there is a lot of condensation inside. The manual doesn't address this in the troubleshooting section. I'm guessing it's not draining properly.

Hi,

Thank you for your question. It is concerning when the refrigerator is not functioning correctly.

Was the door left open? If the door was not left cracked open, is the compressor running.

It sounds like the compressor is not running and/or the defrost heater is stuck on. The drip pan should have a tube running through it and the hot Freon will evaporate the water. If the compressor is running and the drip is overflowing, is the water oily and scummy looking? The sealed system could have leaked down.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this entry below.
