Kenmore glass top range with melted plastic

Help. I set a soft plastic microwave cover on a hot burner without realizing until it was too late. Melted plastic all over. I scraped as much as possible off while it was still hot, using a straight metal spatula, but it's still pretty gunky.

What can I safely use to clean it off?

Chat,
Thanks!!!! That's all it took. A little razor action, a little glasstop cleaner, and we're good as new.
Who knew it would be so simple...

Straight edge razor, as you would use to remove paint from a window pane.
