Kenmore Elite HE3 Front load washer (loud) clicking noise

The washer stopped yesterday during spin cycle with continuous (loud) clicking noise. At that point, we unplugged the power to the washer.

Later, after about an hour or so, We tried to start using only spin/rinse cycle (11 minutes) and once the water was poured in a bit, it again started making the same noise.

Next thing, right after that, we tried was to try to have it run full cycle (declicate wash) but again after pouring some water, it started making the same noise (I think in normal case, the drum start rotating at this point).

Model# 110.42822 201
Serial# CSP 2801296
Type: 1990AKP 700/WT

12 amps 120 volts 60 hz

The washer looks exactly like the one provided in link.

Any idea what could have gone wrong?

Thank you.

Ok, based on the error code f02 (drain issue), Dad though to give it a chance before calling a technician in. He found an old sock clogged the pump. Removed and the washer works like a charm. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all your help. Not sure on which post but somewhere I found that "Accept" answer gets the expert paid. Let me know where/how can I do that? Again, thank you all.
