In referance to your model KDL-55EX620. The 3 blinking like means there is a problem with the main board. Since you have already replaced that. I suggest looking at the wire harness. This may have been shorted out due to the lighting.

Hi,

I have a similar issue. I have a kdl 55ex620 hit by lightning. I had no power. I replaced main board, power supply and secondary power supply board, inverter board. After replacing these board, I get a flashing red light (3 times) it pauses then repeats the cycle of 3 red flashings. Any ideas?

All the parts you replaced would be the parts I would replace. The only thing else would be a bad wiring harness or the inverter board with is part of the LCD panel. The LCD panel is no longer available for your model.

There is no light or any noise that power is reaching the tv. The parts i have replaced are converter part# 147420211,pcb,a part #18579321, and switch part#148788911. I have also checked the power cord and am recieving 120 volts on the multi meter.

Does the light on the front blink when you try and power the TV on? If so, can you provide the blink code? Also, can you provide me the part numbers of the parts you replaced so I can get a better picture of everything that has been done so far?

Whether any tv hit by a lightning power surge can be repaired is a good question. I see you have done many parts replacements. The expert will review and respond, but if you would like to take the Sony in to be examined I added the Sears Home Services link below.
