790.8543 kenmore elite electric range oven

top elements works......electric oven elements do not. what can I check?

I did not find information on that Kenmore Elite range with a model number that begins with 790.8543 . . . I recommend that you recheck that model number.

Some of the Kenmore Elite electric ranges will have a safety thermostat mounted on the outside back wall of the oven cavity or on the top of the oven cavity below the cooktop. If that safety thermostat is tripped then the oven will not heat. A bad electronic control board or a wiring failure could also cause this problem. It is rare for both the bake and broil elements to go bad at one time.
