leaf blower Wont stay running.

I have a model # 358.797340 25cc 205mph craftsman leaf blower/sucker. It was running fine, then would just run for 5 seconds and die. It sounded like the engine was very weak. I Took it apart found the fuel lines disinigrated. I replaced the lines properly. I did not replace the filter. To me it looked decent.I started it up and ran very weak and suddenly and abruptly stops. There is a "sour"/"tangy" scent to the exhaust. Unlike the standard fuel/oil mix. What can i do.

Hello Christopher,

I would like to assist you with your leaf blower not running correctly. It is very likely that there is bad fuel and debris in your carburetor.

Here is a video

that shows how to go through a two cycle carburetor. It is on a line trimmer, but the principle is the same.

Be sure to use protective glasses and gloves!

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.
