Thank you for submitting your question. I know error codes can be frustrating and I will be happy to assist you. The F9 error code is indicating that the overflow contact in the water level pressure switch is closed for more than 60 seconds. This could be caused by a faulty water level pressure switch, failure in the drain pump, or a restriction in the drain pump or hose. Using too much detergent or the wrong type of detergents can cause this error too. I recommend checking the drain pump filter and hoses for any clogs or obstructions. Remove the lower access panel under the door to access the drain pump and filter. Make sure to

remove all power

from the washer before performing any repairs or troubleshooting. Also, if there is water in the unit, drain the water out of the washer before you remove the drain pump filter cap. Have an old large towel handy because there will be about a quart of water sitting in the pump and it will come out once the filter cap is removed. You will most likely find the filter full of debris. Once you clean the filter trap and reinstall the cap, recheck washer operation. I hope this helps. Shannon - Your washer was built by Whirlpool and is essentially a re-badged "Duet". There is a Shop Manual for this series of washers and their 'Kenmore' cousins at:$FILE/Duet%20Job%20Aid.pdf

The Error Codes start on page 6-4 from which you will see that F9 indicates an overflow condition and the actions that can be taken to investigate and cure this fault. This may be of some help.

Good Luck.
