LG Window Air Conditioner compressor problem.

I have a LG window Air Conditioner Model # LW2412ER that is giving me a problem. The compressor won't shut off and will continue pouring cold air out. It doesn't matter if you set the temperature as high as it can go,it never will kick off........"Doesn't matter if you go to fan only,it doesn't kick the compressor off and it continues pouring the cold air out." When I hit the power button to turn the unit off,you can still hear the humming of the compressor and must unplug it from the wall socket before it is completely shut down.

Thank you very much for your time.

Thanks for the information about your window AC, model LW2412ER, I will be glad to assist you.

Unfortunately the model number does not seem correct as I cannot find any data using the model number LW2412ER. I was however able to locate a model number close to the one you supplied, and my research indicates that the issue you are having would be caused by either a wiring issue (possible wires grounding to one another) or the main control board. Due to the complexity of your product controls and the wiring I would strongly recommend calling for a technician with experience on the product to come and inspect the unit.

I hope this helps, if you need more help reply with a complete model number and more details and I will respond.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link:
