There is no learn button. On one side are two knobs: up force and down force. On the other side are two recessed screws to increase travel up or down. On the side with the knobs, there is another sticker with a serial number of 41a3063.

Thanks for contacting

. I understand your concern with programming the car remote to the garage door opener. We are here to help. Henry and a community member  provided good links on this problem. This garage door opener has a set of dip switches located, under the first terminal in the back. The remote built into the car should program to this opener, if a conversion kit is installed. A conversion kit will  increase the security by using the rolling code technology. The part number for the conversion kit is 53682. Unfortunately, there is three states where the conversion kit is not available. The states are NY,CA, and MN. If that is where you live, state law is preventing you from purchase the conversion kit.  I hope this helps.

Your attempting to program a dip switch opener with a Homelink® equipped vehicle?

I'm pretty sure you need at least a rolling code opener.

If you have problems with the Homelink® system please call 1-800-355-3515 or their website at homelink.com/home

Thanks for assistance. Unfortunately, I don't have the transmitter, and neither page 23 nor any troubleshooting info covers how to program motor drive unit direct with vehicle remote buttons (located on rear view mirror).

As stated above your opener has dip switches - What is the model number of your "new car remote visor" ? Programming instructions are on pg 23 of the Owners Manual, which you can down load at -managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/21497/CRAFTSMAN-Garage-Door-Opener-L0710018?brand_name_search=139.53513

I can appreciate your confusion over not finding a "learn" button on your unit. The older garage door openers use dip switches to program them. I did locate a link that will discuss your situation in greater detail.

Keep in mind that an expert will be responding within the next two business
days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and instruction.
I hope this link will help you program your new car remote and have a nice day.
