Programming my garage door remote keypad

I have an old Sears garage door opener, model 139.53603, with the dip switches. I bought the keypad that the Sears web site says is the appropriate one for my opener, but it has no dip switches and no directions on how to program it for my opener. Need help.

Thanks for contacting

. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with programming a keyless entry to your garage door opener. We are here to help. This garage door opener is not designed for any keyless entry, without any modifications. All the wireless keyless entries require a learn button. However, if a conversion kit is purchased and installed to the garage door opener, that would change it to using a learn button. The wireless keyless entry would program to the conversion kit. The part number for the conversion kit is 53682. Otherwise, I recommend returning the keyless entry. I hope this helps.
