I can't tell from looking at the owners manual (p.21) what type of lubricant to use on the cutting deck. What do recommend?

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you with lubricating the mower deck. According to the parts list, your model may have grease zerks on the top side of the mandrel shafts. If this is the case, you will need to add grease to these every 25 hours. You do not need to use special grease for the mandrel shafts. Just use a general-purpose grease you already have in the grease gun. If you do not have a grease gun yet, you can purchase one from your local Sears store. Most of the time, the grease gun will come with grease. The grease included will be fine to use. Besides greasing the mandrel shafts, I recommend lubing the pivots for the idler arms with a few drops of 10W-30 motor. This should keep the pivots from rusting over the winter. Other than lubing these two places, I do not recommend lubing anywhere else on the mower deck.

I hope this helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
